FINRA Warns Members of Imposter Websites

FINRA warned members about imposter websites that use the names of registered representatives to fraudulently solicit information from potential customers.

In a Regulatory Notice, FINRA provided common characteristics of these websites and urged members to report the fraudulent websites to regulators and law enforcement.

As previously covered, FINRA recently issued a similar warning to its members concerning an imposter website that used a domain name nearly identical to that of FINRA but with an additional N (i.e., "FINNRA").
