The SEC’s Chief AI Officer, Valerie Szczepanik, will lead a new task force focused on advancing the agency’s use of AI.
According to an SEC release, the AI Task Force aims to accelerate the agency’s adoption of AI in support of its mission. The SEC said the task force will advance responsible AI integration, remove barriers to progress, and support innovation across SEC divisions and offices. The agency said that the task force will centralize efforts and promote cross-agency collaboration,
SEC Chair Paul S. Atkins said he wants to "ingrain [] innovation into our culture SEC-wide".
