FRB Introduces New Bulletin on Consumer Compliance Supervision

The Federal Reserve Board ("FRB") Division of Consumer and Community Affairs introduced a new publication that is intended to provide industry members with guidance on relevant supervisory issues related to consumer protection.

The first issue of the Consumer Compliance Supervision Bulletin highlighted issues in the following areas:

  • redlining;

  • overdrafts;

  • loan officer misrepresentations; and

  • deceptive acts targeting college students.

The bulletin is intended to complement other FRB consumer protection initiatives.
