OCC Names New Chief of Staff
The OCC named Kate Tyrrell as the agency's next Chief of Staff and Senior Deputy Comptroller.
In its announcement, the OCC stated that Ms. Tyrrell will "direct the daily operations of the Comptroller's support staff, and oversee the agency's public affairs." In addition, she will "advise and coordinate policy and operations within the OCC, on an interagency basis, and with the Administration and serve as a member of the OCC's Executive Committee."
Ms. Tyrrell was a former Deputy Chief of Staff at the Federal Housing Finance Agency. She has also held senior roles at the US Department of the Treasury and began her federal service as special counsel to the Chief Judge at the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. She now joins the agency from the private sector where she worked as a senior managing director at a real estate finance and investment company.
