SEC Launches Interagency Securities Council to Promote Law Enforcement Collaboration

The SEC launched an "Interagency Securities Council" to encourage more collaboration among law enforcement professionals on "the latest in scams, trends, frauds, and mitigation strategies."

The SEC stated that the goals of the Council are to strengthen relationships and share guidance among federal, state, and local agencies, and to provide a forum for unified efforts in combatting financial fraud.

Gurbir Grewal, Director of the SEC's Division of Enforcement will Chair the Council.
