Michael S. Barr Sworn In as FRB Vice Chair for Supervision
Michael S. Barr was sworn into office as Vice Chair for Supervision for the Federal Reserve Board ("FRB"). His term as Vice Chair for Supervision runs until July 13, 2026 and his term as a member of the FRB runs until January 31, 2032.
Vice Chair Barr was nominated by President Joseph R. Biden on May 2, 2022, and was confirmed by the Senate on July 13, 2022.
Mr. Barr most recently served as the Joan and Sanford Weill Dean of the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy at the University of Michigan. He also served as Under Secretary of the Treasury for Domestic Finance and Assistant Secretary of the Treasury for Financial Institutions during the Obama Administration.
