Federal Register: SEC Requests Comments on FINRA Proposal to Expand Dissemination of CMO Trade Information

The SEC solicited comment on a FINRA proposal to amend the FINRA Rule 6700 Series and the Trade Reporting and Compliance Engine ("TRACE") dissemination protocols to (i) require the dissemination of transactions in collateralized mortgage obligations ("CMOs"), (ii) reduce the reporting period for CMOs from end-of-day to within sixty minutes of execution, and (iii) simplify the reporting requirements for CMOs transactions executed prior to issuance. The proposal was published in the Federal Register.

Comments on the FINRA proposal must be submitted by July 27, 2016.
