FINRA Lowers Continuing Education Testing Fee

In conjunction with phasing out the test center delivery of the Regulatory Element of Continuing Education ("CE"), FINRA proposed amendments to Section 4(f) of Schedule A of the FINRA by-laws that would assess a CE session fee of $55 for the Regulatory Element regardless of whether the session was completed at a test center or through the CE Online System. Currently, FINRA assesses a session fee of $100 for participants' individual sessions.

FINRA noted that only participants who applied for an accommodation would be eligible to complete their CE Regulatory Element session at a test center. The proposed rule would be effective immediately.
