FRB Nominees Testify before Senate Banking Committee

The Senate Banking Committee questioned nominees for Federal Reserve Board Vice Chair and Board Governor.

The following nominees testified at the hearing:

  • The Honorable Philip N. Jefferson. Mr. Jefferson cited his recent experience as a Board Governor. Nominated for FRB Vice Chair, he highlighted his background as an economist specializing in poverty, economic inequality and applied econometrics.
  • The Honorable Lisa D. Cook. Ms. Cook, renominated to the position of FRB Governor, highlighted her previous positions on the board of directors of the Federal Reserve Board of Chicago and a community development financial institution, as well as director of the Federal home Loan Bank of Indianapolis.
  • The Honorable Adriana Kugler. Ms. Kugler, nominated to the position of FRB Governor, cited her current role as U.S. Executive Director at the World Bank and previous work as the Chief Economist for the DOL.
