Law Enforcement Agencies Create "Transnational Elder Fraud Strike Force"
Several law enforcement agencies established a joint task force to investigate and prosecute foreign-based fraudsters who target seniors. The Transnational Elder Fraud Strike Force - which includes, among other participants, the DOJ’s Consumer Protection Branch, the U.S. Attorneys’ Offices for six federal districts, the FBI and the U.S. Postal Inspection Service - will share resources and expertise on combating elder fraud.
