OFAC Issues General License Allowing Certain Transactions under Russia Sanctions Regulations

OFAC issued General License No. 13A ("Authorizing Certain Administrative Transactions Prohibited by Directive 4 under Executive Order 14024") under the "Russian Harmful Foreign Activities Sanctions Regulations" 31 CFR Part 587.

General License No. 13A authorizes, until September 30, 2022, U.S. persons and entities owned or controlled by U.S. persons to pay taxes, fees, or import duties, and purchase or receive permits, licenses, registrations or certifications, to the extent such transactions would otherwise be prohibited by Directive 4 under Executive Order 14024. General License No. 13A supersedes, in its entirety, General License No. 13, which contained a similar authorization and was set to expire on June 24, 2022.
