Jerome Powell Sworn in as Federal Reserve Board Chair

Several confirmed nominees were sworn in to the Federal Reserve Board ("FRB"). The nominees included:

  • Jerome H. Powell for a second term as Chair of the FRB. Mr. Powell's new term as Chair ends on May 15, 2026, and his term as a member of the Board ends on January 31, 2028.

  • Lael Brainard as Vice Chair of the FRB. Dr. Brainard's term as Vice Chair ends on May 15, 2026, and her term as a Board member ends on January 31, 2026.

  • Lisa D. Cook as a member of the FRB. Dr. Cook's term expires on January 31, 2024.

  • Philip N. Jefferson as a member of the FRB. Dr. Jefferson's term expires on January 31, 2036.
