Comment Deadline Set for FDIC's Revised Guidelines on Appeals of Material Supervisory Determinations

Comments on the FDIC's revised Guidelines for Appeals of Material Supervisory Determinations are due by June 21, 2022. The request for comment was published in the Federal Register.

The revised guidelines took effect on May 17, 2022. As previously covered, the updates:

• restore the Supervision Appeals Review Committee ("SARC") as the final level of review in the appeals process (replacing the Office of Supervisory Appeals);

• establish the leadership composition of the SARC; and

• revise the submission process to explicitly allow electronic submission of appeals and provide information on how to submit appeals electronically.
