Senators Warren and Scott Call Assertions Made by FRB Inspector General an "Act of Self-Preservation"

Senators Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) and Rick Scott (R-FL) criticized Federal Reserve Board ("FRB") Inspector General Mark Bialek for his opposition to a bipartisan bill (S.915) that would require a President-appointed and Senate-confirmed Inspector General of the FRB.

In a letter addressed to Mr. Bialek, the Senators argued that his claims, made in a letter to Mr. Scott, stating his opposition of S.915, were an "act of self-preservation to retain [his] current position."
