OFAC designated two Russian individuals for their alleged roles in the "detention, abuse and death" of Sergei Magnitsky. In addition, OFAC designated three Russian individuals and one entity for their alleged roles in perpetrating human rights abuses in Chechnya, including the illegal detention and torture of "individuals on the basis of their actual or perceived LGBTI status."
