MSRB Seeks Public Comment on Post-Trade Transparency Proposal
In its quarterly Board of Directors meeting, the MSRB voted to request public comment on potential rule amendments to enhance post-trade transparency.
The MSRB will seek public comment based on a retrospective review of MSRB Rule G-14 ("Reports of Sales or Purchases"), which generally requires that the public has access to trade prices within 15 minutes of the trade on the Electronic Municipal Market Access ("EMMA") website. The MSRB will also be seeking comment on whether the reporting timeframe should be shortened to constitute "real-time" trade reporting.
