Regulators Update Retail Payment Systems Booklet; Add Appendix on Mobile Financial Services

The Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council ("FFIEC") issued a new appendix, titled Mobile Financial Services, to the Retail Payment Systems booklet of the FFIEC Information Technology Handbook. The appendix is intended to provide guidance for examiners who evaluate the risks associated with mobile financial services. FFIEC agencies include: the Federal Reserve System, the FDIC, the National Credit Union Administration, the OCC, the State Liaison Committee, and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
