House FSC Subcommittee to Review Activities of the SEC Division of Economic Analysis

The House Committee on Financial Services, Subcommittee on Capital Markets and Government Sponsored Enterprises will examine the mission, operation and activities of the SEC Division of Economic and Risk Analysis ("DERA"), the Office of Credit Ratings ("OCR"), the Office of the Whistleblower, and the Office of Compliance, Inspections and Examinations ("OCIE"). The hearing, titled "Continued Oversight of the SEC's Offices and Divisions," will take place on April 21, 2016, at 9:15 a.m.

The hearing will consist of a single panel that will call the following witnesses:

  • Thomas Butler, Director of the Office of Credit Ratings,

  • Mark Flannery, Director of the Division of Economic and Risk Analysis,

  • Sean McKessy, Chief of the Office of the Whistleblower, and

  • Marc Wyatt, Director of the Office of Compliance, Inspections, and Examinations.
