SEC Names New Chief Counsel for the Office of Chief Accountant

The SEC named Natasha Guinan as the new Chief Counsel for the Office of the Chief Accountant ("OCA").

In a press release, the SEC stated that Ms. Guinan will be tasked with providing legal advice to the Chief Accountant and related OCA groups, as well as consulting with the SEC Division of Enforcement regarding financial reporting and auditing matters.

Previously, Ms. Guinan served as Senior Counsel in the SEC Division of Enforcement, Senior Counsel in the Division of Enforcement and Investigations at the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board, and Senior Special Counsel for Legal Policy in the SEC's Office of General Counsel.
