SEC Sets Comment Deadline for Proposed Rule on Climate-Related Disclosures
Comments may be submitted until May 20, 2022 for an SEC proposed rule to increase and standardize climate-related disclosures. The proposal was published in the Federal Register.
As previously covered, the required information under the proposed rules includes (i) climate-related risks that could have material impacts on business operations or financials, (ii) certain climate-related financial statement metrics and (iii) disclosure of the registrant's greenhouse gas emissions.
