NFA Warns Firms of Ongoing Phishing Campaign

NFA warned member firms of an ongoing phishing campaign that involves fraudulent emails purporting to be from NFA staff.

In a notice-to-members, NFA reiterated warnings contained in Notice I-20-21, which recommended increased vigilance with regard to phishing. NFA reminded firms that legitimate NFA emails will come from addresses that end in: @nfa.futures.org, [email protected] or @nfa-swaps-proficiency-requirements.moonami.com.

In a related notice, NFA cautioned that some member firms have received a follow-up fraudulent email with an attachment soliciting personal information. NFA emphasized the organization would never request personal information via email.
