Federal Register: CFPB Reestablishes Consumer Advisory Board

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau ("CFPB") reestablished the Consumer Advisory Board, as required by the Federal Advisory Committee Act. Pursuant to Dodd-Frank Act Section 1014(a), the purpose of the Board is to "advise and consult with the [CFPB] in the exercise of its functions under the Federal consumer financial laws" and "provide information on emerging practices in the consumer financial products or services industry, including regional trends, concerns, and other relevant information." The CFPB Notice of Establishment was published in the Federal Register and is effective immediately.
