SEC Names Daniel Kahl Chief Counsel of Office of Compliance Inspections and Examinations
Daniel S. Kahl was named Chief Counsel of the SEC Office of Compliance Inspections and Examinations. Mr. Kahl joined the SEC’s Division of Investment Management in 2001 as a counsel and later as branch chief. He served as Assistant Director of the Division’s Investment Adviser Regulation Office. Before coming to the SEC, he was an attorney at the Investment Adviser Association, FINRA, and the North American Securities Administrators Association. He graduated from Penn State University, and has a law degree from Southern Methodist University and an L.L.M. from Georgetown University Law Center.
