CFTC Chair Appoints New Director of Enforcement

The CFTC appointed Brian Young as Director of Enforcement, effective February 14, 2025. Mr. Young was serving as the agency's Acting Director since January 22, 2025. 

In 2024, Mr. Young served as the CFTC's Director of the Whistleblower Office. Prior to that, he was a 20 year veteran of the Department of Justice, serving in a variety of roles, including Acting Director of Litigation for the Antitrust Division and Chief of the Litigation Unit for the Fraud Section of the Criminal Division.
