SEC Names Cybersecurity Policy Senior Advisor

The SEC named Nancy Sumption as the new Senior Advisor for Cybersecurity Policy, to succeed Kevin Zerrusen.

As Senior Advisor for Cybersecurity Policy to SEC Chair Jay Clayton, Ms. Sumption will be responsible for (i) coordinating the agency's efforts to implement cybersecurity policy, (ii) engaging with external stakeholders and (iii) improving mechanisms for assessing cyber-related risks.

Prior to joining the SEC, Ms. Sumption served as Staff Judge Advocate in the U.S. Air Force. She also held several positions in the healthcare and finance sectors.
