SEC Announces Transaction Fee Rates for Fiscal Year 2014

The SEC announced that, starting on March 18, 2014, the fee rates applicable to most securities transactions will be set at $22.10 per million dollars. The assessment on security futures transactions will remain unchanged at $0.0042 for each round turn transaction. According to the SEC, the new rates were determined in accordance with Exchange Act Section 31 ("Transaction Fees"). The adjustments do not directly affect the amount of funding available to the SEC.
