FINRA Announces Updates of the Interpretations of Financial and Operational Rules: FINRA Regulatory Notice 14-06
FINRA released a notice announcing it is making updates to the embedded text of the Securities Exchange Act financial responsibility and reporting rules in the Interpretations of Financial and Operational Rules to reflect the effectiveness of rule amendments recently adopted by the SEC.
The updated text relates to Exchange Act Rule 15c3-1 ("Net Capital Requirements for Brokers or Dealers"), Rule 15c3-1a ("Options (Appendix A to Rule 15c3-1)"), Rule 15c3-2, Rule 15c3-3 ("Customer Protection—Reserves and Custody of Securities"), Rule 17a-5 ("Reports to Be Made by Certain Brokers and Dealers") and Rule 17a-11 ("Notification Provisions for Brokers and Dealers").
FINRA is also making available related updates of the Interpretations of Financial and Operational Rules that have been communicated to FINRA staff by the staff of the SEC's Division of Trading and Markets. The updated interpretations relate to Exchange Act Rule 15c3-1.
