NFA to Hold Cybersecurity Workshops
The NFA will hold cybersecurity workshops for members in Chicago, New York and Los Angeles on February 2, 4 and 9, 2016, respectively.
The half-day workshops will focus on: (i) the Cybersecurity Interpretive Notice, which requires Member firms to adopt and enforce written procedures to secure customer data and access to their electronic systems; (ii) the Information Systems Security Program's development and refinement; (iii) relevant NFA Self-Examination Questionnaire updates; and, generally, (iv) what to expect on exams.
Commentary
Given the uncertain requirements that are imposed on firms by the NFA's cyber guidance, attending one of the conferences and listening carefully to what the NFA says is important.
