MSRB Seeks Applicants to Fill Seats on Board of Directors

The MSRB issued a Regulatory Notice announcing that it seeks applicants for five positions on its Board of Directors (the "Board"). The term of each position will begin on October 1, 2017. Specifically, the MSRB must fill three public and two regulated-entity Board positions, including that of Non-Dealer Municipal Advisor. The MSRB emphasized that it is looking for people with "broad municipal market expertise to help craft policies on the regulation of financial professionals, market structure" and other areas. The MSRB also seeks individuals with the expertise to help develop its Electronic Municipal Market Access ("EMMA®") web tool.

Applications must be submitted by February 17, 2017.
