The CFTC Division of Clearing and Risk issued a time-limited no-action letter stating that it will not take enforcement action against LCH.Clearnet Ltd, a derivatives clearing organization registered under CEA Section 5b ("Derivatives Clearing Organizations"), or LCH's clearing members, for clearing certain swaps executed on, or subject to the rules of, designated contract markets or swap execution facilities. The relief will be effective until either March 31, 2014, or the date upon which the CFTC approves or denies LCH's application to clear swaps executed on a regulated market. According to

The SEC Division of Corporate Finance issued a no-action letter to UBS AG in response to its request for relief from being considered an "ineligible issuer" under Securities Act Rule 405(1)(v) ("Definitions of Terms"). The request for relief came after a September judgment against UBS Securities Japan Co., Ltd. found it guilty of felony wire fraud in connection with improper activities in Yen LIBOR. The SEC charged former senior director of marketing at Akamai Technologies, Kieran Taylor, with illegally tipping non-public information about the company's financial predicament as part of the insider trading scheme operated by now-imprisoned hedge fund founder Raj Rajaratnam. The SEC alleges that Taylor illegally tipped hedge fund portfolio manager Danielle Chiesi with confidential information about the company's plans to lower its revenue guidance for 2008. Chiesi in turn tipped Rajaratnam with the non-public information in order to trade ahead of the negative news. See: SEC Complaint; SEC
