In light of recent volatility in the currency markets, the NFA issued a Notice indicating an increase in the minimum security deposits required to be collected and maintained by forex dealer members under NFA Financial Requirements Section 12 for transactions involving a number of other currencies. The NFA previously increased the minimum security deposits of the Swiss franc, Swedish krona, and Norwegian krone. It has also determined to increase the minimum security deposits for: Japanese yen to 3 percent; Australian dollar to 3 percent; Russian ruble to 20 percent; Brazilian real to 9 percent

The NFA issued a notice informing swap dealers ("SDs") and major swap participants ("MSPs") that, beginning with the Chief Compliance Officer ("CCO") Annual Reports for the fiscal year ended October 31, 2014, SDs and MSPs are required under NFA Compliance Rule 2-49 ("Swap Dealers and Major Swap Participants Regulations") to submit the CCO Annual Report to the NFA and the CFTC. In a separate press release, the CFTC announced that these CCO Annual Reports required under CFTC Rule 3.3(f) ("Chief Compliance Officer") should be submitted through the WinJammer TM system.
