The CFTC will hold an open meeting to consider (i) a proposed rule for Division of Clearing and Risk ("DCR") safeguards, (ii) a proposed rule for Division of Market Oversight ("DMO") safeguard-testing requirements and (iii) its final rule on the margin for uncleared swaps. The meeting will take place on December 16, 2015 at 10:30 a.m.

The CFTC announced that the Global Markets Advisory Committee ("GMAC") will hold a public meeting on May 14, 2015. GMAC, which is sponsored by Commissioner Mark Wetjen, will focus the meeting on issues related to (i) clearinghouse safeguards and (ii) the CFTC's proposal on the cross-border application of its margin requirements for uncleared swaps. The U.S. House Agriculture Subcommittee on Commodity Exchanges, Energy and Credit held a hearing titled "Reauthorizing the CFTC: Commissioners' Perspectives." CFTC Commissioners Sharon Bowen, Christopher Giancarlo and Mark Wetjen testified at the hearing. The Commissioners expressed views on a number of issues facing the CFTC.
