FINRA Publishes 2026 Schedule for Margin Extensions

FINRA provided a 2026 calendar schedule to help firms make accurate submissions for extension of time requests on certain Federal Reserve, SEC and FINRA regulatory requirements.

The schedule applies to requests for extensions ("REX") related to Federal Reserve Board Regulation T ("Credit by Brokers and Dealers"), SEA Rule 15c3-3 ("Customer protection-reserves and custody of securities") and FINRA Rule 4210 ("Margin Requirements").

FINRA noted that the filing schedule is intended to help firms avoid REX system denials caused by incorrect filing dates, especially around holidays when markets and banks are closed.
